Easy steps to save the ocean
Water ecosystems are being severely affected by modernization. We can all act locally to stop irreversible damage, with the following easy practices:
1.Consume sustainable products. Those whose manufacturing and processing take place in the means of making a positive impact on the environment (i.e. Brands that canalize part of their income, to preserving marine species).
2.Reduce plastic use at home. When such material ends up as waste in the ocean, several species natural habitats are destroyed. To limit such impact, we can reuse water bottles and replace plastic bags for fabric bags, to shop groceries at the supermarket.
3.Look after your nearest beach Pick up any garbage you generate and find on your way. Avoid at all times, leaving cigarette fag-ends on the sand. One fag-end alone, pollutes ten liters of sea water, besides killing species that eat them by mistake.
4.Avoid shellfish-made jewelry and accessories Such contribute to reef damage.
5.Support a non profit-organization There are several foundations that advocate for ocean habitats protection and preservation. Consider financial support or volunteering.
